Question
What do the different responses for Impact Type for the /impact endpoint mean?
Answer
The responses are separated out by Direct Service impacts (which are always provided) and Indirect Service impact types (which may be provided) that apply for the event.
A direct service impact occurs where there is impact as a direct result of a loss of Chorus infrastructure.
An indirect service impact occurs where there is impact caused by the outage of a secondary service, which the service (with an indirect service impact) was dependent on. For example: A Handover link service with associated services tunneling through it. If the handover link is down, all services which route/tunnel through that handover link will no longer work (i.e. have an indirect service impact).
Question
What do the different responses by Organisation for the /impact endpoint mean?
Answer
Some Service Providers have Service Impact notification of events seperated by the sub-entities within their organisation who are responsible for managing subsets of their services. A separate download is provided per sub-entity for these Service Providers.
Question
What are the meaning of the different Event ID prefixes (e.g. INC, CRQ, FRE)?
Answer
The different Event ID prefixes indicate the class of events.
Unplanned Events can be either:
- INC – Incident (type of unplanned events).
- FRE – Cable Fault Related Event.
Planned Events are always:
- CRQ – Change Request.
